At the Center for Pain Management, patients have access to three very talented physicians, all of whom are board-certified anesthesiologists with extensive training and experience in pain management. These physicians collectively offer more than 40 years of experience. They are supported in the clinic by a tremendous multidisciplinary staff, which includes a nurse practitioner, a clinical psychologist, nurses, physical therapists, and medical assistants.
The owner and medical director of the Center for Pain Management is
Dr. Ed Kowlowitz. Dr. Kowlowitz is a leader in both the state of Indiana and the Midwest when it comes to spinal cord stimulation, which is a form of neuromodulation that is wonderfully suited to treat patients with neuropathic pain, RSD/CRPS, or have previously experienced a failed back surgery or surgeries. He works very closely with manufacturers in developing and refining the equipment and techniques used in this therapy and his opinions and input on the topic are highly sought after.
Dr. John Fitzgerald is a distinguished leader in the field of radiofrequency rhizotomy and has trained internationally with the physicians and scientists who developed the procedure and the equipment used to perform it.
Dr. Karen Schloemer specializes in pharmacological management, fibromyalgia and female pelvic and abdominal pain. Additionally, Dr. Schloemer performs various interventional procedures.
